Overview

A cordless hedge trimmer removes the one thing everybody dislikes about the corded kind: the lead. No extension to drag around a compound, nothing to cut through, and no limit on how far from the house you can work. This one comes as a complete kit, so a battery and a charger are in the box and it is ready to use out of the carton.

The 510mm blade runs at 1 200rpm and handles growth up to 15mm, which covers the normal season's growth on a garden hedge. Dual action blades move against each other and shear the stem cleanly rather than crushing it. The rear handle rotates through 180 degrees, so cutting down the vertical side of a hedge does not force your wrist round. At 2kg it is noticeably lighter than a petrol trimmer of the same blade length, which shows on the top of a hedge where you are holding it up. A transparent guard keeps your hand clear without hiding the cut line, and a double action safety switch and blade brake stop the blades running on.

Questions and answers

Is a battery included?
Yes. This is a kit and it comes with an XB-2000 lithium-ion battery and an XPP-2700 charger, so nothing else is needed to start.
How thick a stem will it cut?
Up to 15mm. That covers ordinary hedge growth. Thicker woody stems need loppers or a pruning saw.
How do I order and receive it?
Place your order online and we will call you to confirm the item, the price and the delivery. You can collect it from our shop on Moi Avenue in Nairobi CBD or we can send it by courier.
