Overview
A cordless rotary hammer for anchor holes in concrete and block where there is no supply, or where the cable is more trouble than the job. SDS-plus bits push in and lock by hand, so there is no chuck to tighten and no bit slipping halfway down a hole.
The difference between this and a cordless impact drill is the mechanism. A pneumatic hammer strikes the back of the bit and breaks the material ahead of it, while an impact drill only vibrates a bit through. That is why two joules from a battery tool drills masonry that a 40Nm impact drill struggles with. It has two modes, drilling and hammer drilling, and no chisel function. The speed runs to 1 100 min-1 with an impact rate to 5 200 min-1. The body is compact and balanced, and it weighs 2.1kg without a battery, which is light enough to hold against a ceiling while you drill.

Questions and answers
Does it chisel?
No. It has two modes, drilling and hammer drilling. For chiselling you need a four function rotary hammer or a demolition hammer.
Is it better than a cordless impact drill for concrete?
Yes. It has a pneumatic hammer that strikes the bit, rather than the vibration of an impact drill, so it drills masonry faster and wears bits less.
