Overview

A mitre saw that runs off a battery changes where the cutting station can be. On a site with no power connected, in a compound, on an upper floor, or out at a fence line, the saw sets up on a bench or a stand and starts cutting straight away. No generator, no extension leads across a working area.

The head slides on twin rails, so the cut is not limited to what a 210mm blade can drop through. Capacity is 70 x 220mm with the head square, and 70 x 155mm with the table swung to 45 degrees, which covers rafters, battens, skirting, architrave and most framing timber. A laser marks the line before the blade reaches it. The D handle is soft gripped and shaped so your wrist stays straight through a long run of repeat cuts. A wrench, a clamp and a dust bag come with the saw: the clamp holds a workpiece against the fence so your hand is nowhere near the blade, and the bag catches most of the sawdust in a room you would rather not fill. At 10.5kg it is a one person lift onto a bench.

Does it include a battery?
No. The battery and charger are excluded. It runs on 18V lithium-ion packs from the same range, and a spare pack is worth having.
What comes in the box?
A wrench, a work clamp and a dust bag, along with the saw and its blade.
