A small bench sander is the machine for small parts. Model work, instrument making, jewellery, knife handles, electronics enclosures, small joinery components and repair work all involve pieces that are too small to hold safely against a full size sander and too fiddly to shape by hand. This one is sized for that work and light enough to lift onto a bench when you need it.

The narrow 25mm belt running at 970 metres a minute is the useful part. A narrow belt gets into a curve, shapes an inside radius and works along a small edge without touching the faces either side of it, which a 100mm belt cannot do. The 127mm disc turning at 400 revolutions a minute handles ends and flat work. Both have adjustable work tables so the piece can be presented at an angle instead of freehand, and a mitre gauge sets a repeatable angle. A tracking knob keeps the belt centred and a tension release knob makes belt changes quick. Dust extraction keeps the work visible and the bench clear.
