Overview

The larger of the two mains chainsaws: 2200W and a 400mm cutting length, for firewood, felled trunks and hardwood that stalls a smaller saw. It plugs in, so there is no fuel mixing and no starting routine.

The extra 50mm of bar over the 1800W model sounds small but it changes what you can cut in one pass, and the extra power is there so the chain does not slow when the bar is fully buried. Chain speed is 13.5 metres a second, the same as the smaller saw, which means the difference in the field is stamina rather than outright speed. The chain tensions by hand with no tools, and the automatic oiler works from a 150ml tank. At 5.1kg it is a two hand saw and it balances with a soft grip on the rear handle.

Questions and answers

How is it different from the 1800W model?
It has 400mm of cutting length against 350mm, and 2200W against 1800W. Chain speed is the same. The larger saw copes better with hardwood and full depth cuts.
What extension cable should I use?
A heavy gauge cable kept as short as practical. A thin or very long cable drops the voltage and the saw will feel weak and run hot.
How do I order and receive it?
Place your order online and we will call you to confirm the item, the price and the delivery. You can collect it from our shop on Moi Avenue in Nairobi CBD or we can send it by courier.
