26cc Petrol Hedge Trimmer, 550mm Blade, 24mm Capacity

Petrol is what you want when the hedge is long, the boundary is far from any socket, or there is no power at all. This trimmer carries its own fuel, so a shamba boundary, a compound perimeter or a school hedge can be done in one pass without dragging a cord behind you or worrying about cutting through it.

The 26cc two-stroke engine runs to 10 000rpm and drives dual action blades, where both sets of teeth move against each other. That gives a cleaner cut than a single moving blade and it copes with the thicker growth at 24mm that an electric trimmer would stall in. The 550mm blade covers ground quickly on a long run. The rear handle turns through 180 degrees, which is the difference between a comfortable grip and a twisted wrist when you are cutting the vertical face of a hedge or shaping the top. A double action safety switch means the machine needs two deliberate movements to start cutting.
