450W Oscillating Spindle Sander, 5 Sleeves, Tilting Table

Curves are the problem this machine solves. Sanding the inside of an arch, a curved chair rail, a cut out in a worktop, a template edge or any shape a flat sander cannot reach is slow and uneven by hand. A spindle sander stands a drum up through the table and you feed the curve past it, so the edge comes out smooth and square to the face.

The spindle both rotates and oscillates up and down. That up and down movement is the whole point. A drum that only spins wears a band in one place on the sleeve, loads up with dust and starts burning the timber, while an oscillating one uses the full height of the sleeve and keeps cutting. Five sleeves and matching drums come with it, so tight inside curves and gentle ones are both covered. The cast aluminium worktable is large and tilts from 0 to 45 degrees for chamfers and bevelled edges. On board storage keeps the drums and sleeves with the machine, which is the only way they do not get lost.
