Overview
The small rotary hammer, for the holes that come up around a house and a workshop rather than on a demolition site. Anchor holes for a shelf bracket, a gate hinge, a water tank stand or a conduit clip, drilled through block and light concrete without wrestling the tool.
At 500W and 1.5 joules it sits between an impact drill and a full rotary hammer, and that is the right place for a lot of work. An impact drill vibrates its way through masonry and takes its time. This one hammers properly on an SDS-plus shank, so the bit pushes in and locks by hand with no chuck to slip. Two modes cover drilling and hammer drilling. It has no chisel function. At 2.3kg it is light enough to hold up and drill overhead, which is where the big hammers become a two person job. The auxiliary handle has a soft grip and rotates through 360 degrees.
