Overview
The middle rotary hammer in the range and the one most site electricians and plumbers end up carrying. Four joules on an SDS-plus shank drills anchor holes and through holes in concrete and block all day, and it chisels well enough to open a chase or lift a floor tile.
Impact energy does the work in masonry, not the speed of the drill. The hammer mechanism breaks the material ahead of the bit while the rotation clears the dust out, which is why a rotary hammer of this size walks through concrete that stops an impact drill dead. Four functions cover rotary hammering, hammering only, drilling only and vario-lock, which locks the chisel at your chosen angle rather than letting it turn in the hole. The bit changes by hand with no chuck to tighten. An anti-vibration system and a soft grip make the difference over a long day, and the auxiliary handle rotates through 360 degrees. It weighs 4.6kg.
