A bench drill press sized for a small workshop or a serious home bench. It drills square to the work, to a set depth, in the same place every time, which is the whole reason for owning one instead of drilling by hand.

Five pulley speeds cover drilling in timber at the top end and in metal at the bottom, and running the right speed is what keeps bits sharp. The laser guide crosses on the drilling point and has its own on and off switch, so repeat drilling becomes lining up a mark rather than lowering the bit to check. The depth stop is adjustable and locks. Feed handles are large and heavy duty, which gives the leverage to push a 16mm bit through steel with control rather than in jerks. The table moves on a rack and pinion for height and tilts from 0 to 45 degrees left and right for angled holes. Chuck capacity is 1.5 to 16mm and the spindle travels 50mm on a 50mm column.
