Overview
A jigsaw is the saw you reach for when the cut is not straight. Cutting the hole for a sink in a kitchen top, shaping the end of a shelf, trimming a door panel to fit an opening, notching a board around a pipe, or cutting a curve in plywood for a sign. A circular saw cannot follow a line like that and a handsaw takes all morning.
The trigger runs the blade from nothing up to 3 000 strokes a minute, and that range is the point of the tool. Slow strokes keep the blade from overheating in steel, aluminium and plastic, while full speed rips through softwood and board. Three orbital settings add a forward swing to the stroke, which clears the cut faster in timber, and can be switched off for a cleaner edge in sheet material. The laser throws a line ahead of the blade, and the dust blower keeps that line visible instead of buried under sawdust. The blade clamp opens without a key, so a blunt blade or a change from wood to metal takes seconds. The base tilts from zero to 45 degrees for bevels, and a parallel guide comes with it for rips and cross cuts.

What can it cut?
Wood up to 100mm, plus board, plastic and sheet metal when you fit the right blade. Two blades come with it, one for wood and one for metal.
