Heavy Duty Door Closer, 65kg, Bronze, Adjustable Speed

A door closer is what stops a door being left standing open and what stops it slamming. On an office, a shop, a clinic or a flat entrance it does the work nobody wants to keep doing by hand, and it does it the same way every time.

This is the heavy duty model in bronze, rated for a door up to 65kg. It is surface mounted, which means it screws onto the face of the door and the frame, with no routing into the leaf and no specialist fitting. Two adjustments matter in practice. Sweep speed sets how fast the door travels through most of its arc, and latch speed sets the last part, where the door meets the frame. Set the sweep slow enough that people can pass through and the latch firm enough that the lock actually engages. The range covers doors from 35kg to 80kg, and suits hollow core, solid wood, glass, aluminium, extra large and pivot doors.
