Universal Heavy Duty Door Closer, 80kg, Silver, Adjustable Speed

The heaviest closer in this range, rated for doors up to 80kg. That covers a solid timber entrance door, a large glass or aluminium door and a fire door, the kind of leaf that a lighter closer will get moving but will not pull properly shut against the latch.

It is surface mounted, so it screws to the face of the door and the frame with no routing into the leaf, which makes it a practical retrofit on a door that is already hung. Sweep speed and latch speed are both adjustable. Sweep is what you slow down so people can walk through, and latch is what you keep firm so a heavy door actually engages the lock instead of resting against the frame. The range as a whole covers 35kg to 80kg and suits hollow core, solid wood, glass, aluminium, extra large and pivot doors. The unit is silver, 31 x 9 x 7.8cm and 2.0kg.
