Overview
An overhead closer for interior doors: offices, corridors, meeting rooms and internal flat doors. It brings the door back to the frame every time, which keeps a fire door shut, keeps a room's air conditioning inside it and stops the bang that everybody in the building hears.
Two things make it worth fitting over a spring hinge. The two speed control valves let you set the main closing sweep and the final latching movement separately, so the door travels gently and still closes hard enough to engage the lock. Back check is the other one. It resists the door being thrown open past a certain point, which protects the door, the wall behind it and anybody standing there. On an interior door in constant use, back check is what keeps the closer and the frame in one piece for years. It is finished in silver and measures 26 x 10 x 5.5cm.
